Second-ranked Prattville advanced to next week's state championship game with a 23-16 win over Opelika tonight.

It was the Lions' second win this year over the Bulldogs.

Prattville will play Hoover in the Class 6A state championship game a week from today. The top-ranked Bucs beat Vestavia Hills 42-37 in Friday's other semifinal game.

Opelika eliminated the Lions 17-15 in the 2005 quarterfinals. Prattville won earlier this year, 28-19 at Stanley-Jensen Stadium
