Prattville's Bates commits to Houston Prattville defensive back Ricardo Bates committed today to play his college football at the University of Houston. Bates, who helped the Lions to the Class 6A state championship, is the third Prattville player to commit to a Division I school this year. Defensive end Nick Gentry already has committed to play at Alabama and quarterback Larry Smith is committed to Vanderbilt.
