A strong legged punter who once punted during the pre-season for the Chicago Bears of the NFL (averaging 43.5 yards per punt) and the World League of American Football in Barcelona before suffering a career ending injury. Mike began making a name for himself averaging 47 yards per punt at Badin High School. He was named All-State punter (Ohio) and punted for Illinois State University where he was a four year letter winner. He led the nation’s 1-AA universities with a 44.1 yard average and was rated number 2 for net yardage (38.9) and set several school and conference records including longest punt (74 yards), most career punts 262, career average (40.0), total yards (10,460) and ten punts over 60 yards in one season. Currently, Mike serves as kicking instructor with the Miami Hurricanes Football Camp. University Of Florida Gators Urban Meyers Kicking camp, University Of Tennessee Kicking Camp, D-1 Fotball Camp and many other universities in the United States. Coach McCabe coaches kickers and punters from such colleges as Arburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, West Virginia, Colorado, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, UCF, LSU, Western Illinois, South East Missouri State, the University of Massachusetts, , the University of Miami Hurricanes, Illinois State and many more.  Coach McCabe also handles the duties of ranking High School Kickers and punters for Scout.com/ FoxSports.  He also is the founder of the EXPO where kickers/ punters and show case thier talents in front of college scouts.  This event is now a scout.com/ Foxsports event.  Over 200 kickers and punters have recieved football scholarships thru one on one kicking and coach McCabes efforts.  Coach McCabe is regarded the best in his field in the United States.
